Where should the money go?

Spend on what's built to go viral.

We scored every recent SharkNinja post on its likelihood to drive reach and engagement, then reverse-engineered the patterns that separate the winners. This dashboard turns those patterns into spending decisions — not a black box, a playbook.

How to read this — the band system

Every post is graded on two separate questions, then blended into one score. Get these three ideas and the rest of the dashboard reads easily.

↗

1 · Reach band

Did it travel? Impressions, ranked High / Mid / Poor against other posts on the same platform. This band is only about reach.

♥

2 · Engagement band

Did they care? Saves, shares & comments (WER%), ranked High / Mid / Poor the same way. A separate band, only about engagement.

3 · Virality score

The blend. A single 0–100 read combining both bands. It colours every dot on the map and powers the Simulator.

So what does “High band” mean? A band always describes one thing at a time — there's a reach band and a separate engagement band. So a post is never just “High band” → it's High reach band, or High engagement band (or, rarely, both).

The “sweet spot” is landing High on BOTH at once — and it barely happens: only 4 posts (2.4%) did (the data calls them Top Performers). Because that overlap is so rare and partly luck, don't set “make a Top Performer” as the goal — you'd be budgeting for a lottery ticket. Instead, put money behind the levers that raise the odds: the formats, creators and hooks in the Playbook.

The Virality Map

Each post sits by reach (how many it touched) × engagement (how much they cared). The dashed lines mark the typical post, splitting the chart into four zones (see the key below). Colour = virality score; bigger bubble = more reach. Top-right is the sweet spot.

What separates a winner

The map shows where posts land; this shows why. The top-scoring 20% of posts share a few repeatable choices — leads straight into the Playbook.

The honest baseline — both bands

Reality check on the two bands from the map. Notice High is a thin slice in both — virality is rare, so plan it as a portfolio, not a guarantee.

What actually drives virality

These are the levers our model leans on, ranked by signal strength — the ideas behind the score. Stronger bar = the lever moves the outcome more. We're showing you the dials, not the gearing.

      Simulator

Design a post before you fund it

Assemble the creative choices and see the directional virality score plus which levers help or hurt. Every weight here is learned from your own 169 scored posts — not assumed. See "How the data powers this" below.

      How the data powers this

We start from the average virality score of all 169 posts as a baseline. For each choice you make — platform, creator type, format, archetype — we look up how posts with that exact choice actually scored and shift the baseline by the difference (only using choices with at least 3 real posts behind them). For the sliders (demo depth, depth of mention, sentiment) we fit a linear trend from the data and move the score along it. So the simulator isn't a guess — it's your own performance history, re-applied. The relative weighting of our full predictor stays proprietary; this view shows the ideas, grounded in evidence.
